Honey Bee Post It Note Holder

If you follow me you'll know that I've been making samplers.  Click here for the whole sampler

Samplers use 3 x 3 squares and larger 6 1/4 x 3 rectangles.

For the first 10 days in February I'll post a project every day that uses one of these squares or rectangles in a different way (cards, gift card holders, Lindt Bar wrappers and more!)

Today is a cute post-it note holder with a pen on the left.

The Post it Holder – this 3 x 3 square was designed by my team mate Susan Morrison in Maine.

1.      Let’s start with the 3 x 3 square:  Daffodil Card stock layer is 3 x 3, Basic Black 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 and the Honey Bee Designer Paper 2 ¾ x 2 ¾
2.      Stamp flowers in daffodil delight OR stamp with versamark and emboss with gold embossing.  Punch some from gold foil.  Make and punch about 10 of these flowers (the flower punch is free with a $100 order! It’s a Sale-A-Bration item)
3.      Attach the flowers to the front of the square.  Add some gold glitter gems or some pearls to the center of the flowers

4.      Make the holder:  3 ¼ x 7 1/2 (from thick Whisper White), score 3 3/8, 3 ¾ and 4 1/8 (blue lines are the score lines, red lines are cutting lines), you may need to adjust your score lines depending on your pen size
5.      Cut the ½ slots to hold the pen (about 1/2 of the way down, about 1” apart (see the red lines above for cutting lines)
6.      Fold the holder and attach the front layer, insert the pen. Pen from Amazon.  Insert a half a pack of post it notes.

All the products are available in my online store (click on the shopping cart) .. except the bee paper which is FREE with a $50 order!  email me with questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

Happy crafting, MaryKate
