Pop Up Gift Card Holder Greeting Card with A Christmas to Remember

I'll be live tonight at 5pm on Facebook.com/SipCraftCare and will make this card using The Christmas to Remember stamp set and matching paper.

I'll edit this post with a link to the video.  Here are the dimensions for this version (the sleeve-boxes inside) are always the same.

Here's the link to the video

These are the dimensions for the penguin version

a.   Base 8 ½ x 5 ½

b.   Cardstock Strip 5 ¼ x 1

c.   Designer paper 5 ¼ x 4

d.   Ribbon about 18”

e.   Attach the cardstock strip to the designer paper, add the ribbon

f.    Add the designer paper to the card base.

g.   Stamp the greeting, attach to the front of the card, add the penguin, add the bow

h.   Make the inside of the card

i.    2 “sleeve” boxes:  5 ¼ x 5, on the 5” side score at 1 ½, 2 ¼, 3 ¾, 4 ½

j.    Make the 2 sleeve boxes

k.   Glue the sleeve boxes together on the edges only… so there is room for the gift card

l.    Add a white piece inside 5 ¼ x 4, add a strip of paper at the bottom (1/2 x 5 ¼

m. Add the 2 boxes to the inside of the card, ensuring the edge of the box is up against the card fold.  Glue in place (bottom only of the boxes, close the card).

n.   Glue the side of the box that touches the back of the card base.

o.   Add a penguin if you wish.

If you are looking for Stampin Up products for Christmas... I'd suggest looking through your stash :) or reaching out for a gift card through me (you can reach me on MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com)... as we can't guarantee shipping by Dec 25 anymore!

Stand up Gift Card using Dashing Deer and Peaceful Cabin Paper

My last post had you ake a 12x12 sheet and cut it 9 x 9” that is 23 x 23cm, if your paper has a direction ensure that the direction if vertical for these score lines.

Save this 3 x 12 piece and 3 x 9 piece for belly bands for this gift card project.

Here's a link to a quick video on how to create this Real Red Stand Up Gift Card project.  So fast!

Dimensions:

Real Red Cardstock 4 1/4 x 9 3/4 score at 1 1/2, 4 1/4, 4 3/4, 5 3/4

The video shows you how to take a "notch" from the middle to hold the gift card!

I hope you try it, let me know if you have questions, happy creating, MaryKate

Gift card holder with the Dashing Deer - Looks like a Book!

Take a 12x12 sheet and cut it 9 x 9” that is 23 x 23cm, if your paper has a direction ensure that the direction if vertical for these score lines.

Here's a link to a quick video on how to fold up this project.  So fast!

Score at 1 ½, 4 ¼, 4 ¾, 7 ½ turn 90 degrees and score at 2 and 5 3/4

Score at 4, 11,12, 19cm turn 90 degrees and score at 5 and 14cm

Burnish all the score lines.

Turn the 4 corners to the 1 ½ or 4cm score lines

Fold in the paper on the 1 ½ or 4cm score lines

Flip the paper over and fold up the 2 remaining score lines – tucking in the flaps.

Now fold it so it looks like a book.

To decorate: I cut a 2” white circle and a 2 ¼ Dazzling circle and added a punched deer. Inside I will add in a gift card and a note, the note is 2 ¼ x 3 ½ - I’ll decorate this note at the end with left over pieces.

You can close it with Velcro dot, magnets, ribbon (under the circles), or simply fold it shut.

I hope you make one!  I'll post the next gift card holder in 2 min!!

Happy gifting MaryKate

IDEAS December Blog Hop New Years Resolution Projects

Hello and welcome to the IDEAS Blog Hop for December 2021 - featuring projects using a theme of New Year's Resolutions

Welcome to our IDEAS blog hop for December 2021.  This month we have curated tutorials from 16 international Demonstrators with a 75+ page full color tutorial bundle for you.  This month the theme is New Year's Resolutions.   You will get 16 detailed tutorials with a range of projects including storage, decor, 3D, cards, wine bottle tags, so many fun ideas.  The tutorials have detailed instructions in imperial (aka inches!) and metric.

Here is our sneak peek collage for the December IDEAS Tutorial Bundle.  Each photo represents one designer's tutorial in our bundle.

I made a big box to hold larger and smaller Memories & More cards, along with sections to hold cards and different greetings. How great to have a stash of cards on hand, all ready to send for almost every occasion.  I used the "What a Year" package of cards and I think they are an overlooked product!

And here it is open with the sections.

All the details, how-to, dimensions and tips are in my tutorial. Lots of photos to make it easy to follow along.

I hope you like these projects and the projects from my fellow IDEAS demonstrators.  It's really a great bundle of inspiration for crafters or demonstrators looking for new ideas or workshop ideas.  Keep hopping so you can see all the creativity.   The bundle is about 65 pages of detailed full color instructions with 25+ projects (cards, 3D, and more!)

Would you like a copy of the instructions for these projects to use for your personal use, or even to use in your classes? Contact me at MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com Free to customers who purchase $35, or Free to my team members, or $15 by PayPal.
