Wild About You

This gorgeous card was created by Susan Morrison my team mate.  I just love it.  It's a combination of Valentine's and thank you!!

You can see more of her work at 207ColorfulCreations.com.

Here's a few detailed close ups

You can see she used Blends (our alcohol markers) super easy to use and to get the dark and light shades as each color has a dark and a light.  You color the light and add some dark and then more light. That's it.

The ribbon is fun, it's in the annual catalog.

And there are matching dies to this stamp set.  This set was given to us at Convention and we have all used it a lot, for birthday, thank you and Valentine's day.

You might recognize it, if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber.  Last month we received 24 pillow boxes with some of these cute animals.  In that kit we had the Kangaroo and the Chameleon.

Don't forget to subscribe by the 10th of the month!

I hope you visit Susan's blog - lots of pretty and colorful ideas, happy crafting, MaryKate

Need birthday cards? Try Paper Pumpkin for the month of March

Hi crafters

We got news of the March Paper Pumpkin - it's 8 full size birthday cards and there's a big free stamp set included!

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription (you can buy 1 month or 3 or 6 or 12) and everything you need is in the box.  Stamps, ink, supplies, embellishments, and your first box has the block.  One box, everything included!

It's $20 a month (bit less if you buy more than a month).

I should receive February's soon and I'll post on that (it's succulents!).

To get the March kit, you must subscribe by March 10 (from time to time they run out) so don't wait til 11pm on March 10 :)

Thanks for choosing me as your demonstrator!

A dazzling demonstrator

We have fun as a team of demos - most of us are hobby demos (and we love the 20% discount) but some of us make it a great part time business.

This gift is to celebrate Cathy Jones - and she is a dazzling demonstrator.  I love these glitter dots (well I like just about any dots!)

I think anything is a gift with nice packaging.  This is quick, just a 6 x 4" piece of designer paper and topped with a flower.

I showed the team how to make this flower, it's super easy. You use the Vase punch, and punch out 8 vases (these are the petals). Give them a curl with your bone folder.  Start with a 3/4 or 1/2 circle and that's the base, the layer the petals in 2 layers (so 4 vases at the bottom and 4 at the top). Then add  a 1/2 circle or other embellishment.  I added leaves with our leaf punch.

It works best with liquid glue and then let it sit and dry for a good 20min as it takes quite a bit of glue.

Yay for Cathy - hope she liked the gift!

It's a great time to join Stampin UP, you spend $99 and get to choose anything at all worth $175 (so $76 in free anything). No obligation beyond $99. And then you have 20% off everything at Stampin UP.  Let me know if you have questions, here to help.

Quick Valentines - it's all in the layering

Hi crafters

I received some lovely cards in the mail and wanted to share them with you.

Here's the collection (one I made).

They all use these great framelits with the Be Mine set.  These hearts are going to be a keeper for me. Sometimes I sell my retired items but this set will be around in my craft cupboard for a while.  You get a lot with 1 die set... so many that I had to cut out the whole collection and put it on a page!

Here's one from my extended teammate Suzanne.  She used the whisper white notecards (finish at 5 x 3 1/2) and her layer is 4 3/4 x 3 1/4, with two hearts.

And the inside with Love and an epoxy heart in the o -do you see it?  Technically this is a thank you card but I like it for Valentine's Day, or a Hello or a Thank you.

Here's one from my team leader Suzie - I won a little competition (random drawing I wasn't clever or talented!). Her card finishes 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 (so it fits into a regular envelope).  The Lipstick layer (at the back) is 4 x 4 and the 4 squares of the designer paper are 1 7/8 x 1 7/8.  I'm going to make a similar card - I love this design!  and I like her foil heart - foil is free right now as a Sale-A-Bration item (spend $50, choose a free item, send me questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com)

And here's mine. Same notecard as Suzanne with my back layer in Flirty Flamingo 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 and my designer paper is 4 1/2 x 3 the tiny edge showing is designed to match the thin heart shape, and the thin "love you" - that was part of the Well Written set (one of my top 10 favorites in the new Occasions catalog).  A very versatile set.

Simple cards -- but they really made my day. I hope you make a card, put in it the mail and make someone smile.  Real mail (not window mail) is so nice to receive!

February IDEAS Hop Birthday Cheers

Welcome to the IDEAS Blog Hop, a group of international demonstrators who create a monthly bundle of tutorials for our customers and team members.

This month's theme is Birthday's and since the 2019 Occasions and Sale A Bration Catalogs were just released, we are focusing on those new products.

I created with the set Birthday Cheer - this is a fun bundle with matching framelit dies and is perfect for any birthday.

This bundle features multiple tutorials, and each tutorial features at least one card and one project, some include multiples. Would you like a copy of the instructions for these projects to use for your personal use, or even to use in your classes? Contact me, or your participating demonstrator, to find out how to purchase the tutorial bundle or earn it for FREE!  My email is MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

Once you have received the tutorials, please remember not to share or distribute the printed or electronic copies of these bundles. We have worked hard to provide these exclusive projects for your use. If you know someone that would like to purchase the bundle, please direct them to me to obtain their copy. Thanks for your support.

Leave me a comment before you hop on over to Carla's Blog to see a preview of her project! Thanks for stopping by, and until next time....happy stamping!

Happy February Wonderful Romance

A quick simple card for you today.  Just 2 stamps (using Memento Black) the flowers and the greeting.  A few blends (our alcohol markers) and match with a base of Highland Heather.  A little bow to match (stuck on with a glue dot) a few pearls (I smudged a bit, so now it's hidden!) and poof... a pretty card.

I'm going to send this to someone who is in the depths of winter cold and not doing too well... I hope it's a bit of brightness and warmth in her day.

The stamp set is called Wonderful Romance and it has dies to match (I didn't get the dies, but I might... :)

Go make a card, stamp something and put it in the mail, keep it simple, make it beautiful

Happy weekend all
