Them Bones, perfect for Halloween or a Get Well Card

I'm creating my Halloween class (9 projects, in person, Sept 10 130-4pm Hartland ME) and I had an idea for a get-well-card for a knee replacement!

Here's the card and the treat.

The suite #ThemBones by Stampin Up is really fun with a ton of dies so you can make skeletons and even decorate them!

And a close up. I tied a bow around the skeleton knee and the knee bone of the pen.

Both projects (excluding the bows!) will be part of the Halloween class. I'll be posting all the projects here. Lots of cute quick cards and several fun treat packages.  I also created some quick home decor. Stay tuned here for all the projects with tips, measurements, how-to's and links for the bone pens, lights and more.

Let me be the first to say to you .... Happy Halloween!

And Diane - get well soon - all the best with your new knee!

And if you'd like to join us Sept 10th for Halloween crafting, email me MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com, I'm organizing the pricing but it will be super reasonable!

Joy to You Stamp Set & my Leader Swap

Hello all - we are using the set Joy to You for the September online series.  3 Classes - you can request a packet for $30 plus shipping for all 3 classes, add the stamp set for $20 more that is Joy To You and you can do a front porch pickup or include $10 for shipping.  Tuesday nights 6-730pm on Zoom (and yes recorded to a private page).  Sept 12,19, 26.

Here's 1 of 9 cards we are making, our class will use different paper.

I created these cards for our Leader swap. We make 16 identical cards (mine is the same layout, different holiday paper and ribbon) and we get 16 different cards back. So many awesome ideas!

Measurements: Base 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2, cut off 1 panel 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, this is the green panel that goes under the Contours die.  Designer paper is (inside) 4 x 5 1/4 and outside 4 x 2 1/2.  Easy, pretty, perfect if you are making lots!

So these head off in the mail tomorrow and in 2 weeks I'll do a FB live showing you all the cards I get back. I'll post that FB here so you can see the cards.

email me to register for class, or to get a paper catalog or with questions! My online store is always open... and this new catalog will go live Sept 5.

Happy stamping, MaryKate

Creating a Faux Stepper Card

My talented teammate Terry Dell'Amico sent me a stunning faux stepper card.  Her's is the one with the pretty flower.  I recreated it with the Sleigh paper and cute Trucking Along set with the punch (both Online Exclusives).

Recipe

The bottom piece is 9 x 4 1/4, score this at 1 1/4, 2 1/2 and 5 3/4

The patterned paper for the bottom is a 4 x 4 cut at 4 x 3 and 4 x 1 (smaller piece on the lower front)

The top piece is 2 1/2 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

The patterned paper for the top is 2 1/4 x 5 1/4

I stamped the road below the truck (otherwise it looks like it floats!)

I stamped the truck in Pecan Pie (stamping off for a lighter look) the tree is Lost Lagoon.

It's really easy but has a wow effect.

Other news:

Kits are up to 30% off for August - lots to choose from - click the cart (top right) to browse the store
