Coffin treat boxes for Halloween

These coffin boxes are in the new Holiday Catalog.

So cute and fun to put together.  They hold 2 mini candy bars or many other treat sizes.

There are so many ways to decorate these boxes.  I used designer paper (it's called Monster Bash) and traced the lid and cut it out and added a few bats.

This one uses the amazing Wicked die with glimmer paper and the fun spiders.

We will make these treat boxes Sept 8 at class.

If you are local email me MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com to secure a place for class Sept 8 130-330pm in Hartland ME at my lake house.

And if you are not local, and place an order (any size) in my online store, I'll send you a free coffin box! Don't forget the host code :) You can find it top right of this screen with the shopping cart.

Didn't get a holiday catalog with the Wicked and the Coffin treat boxes?? just email me and I'll get one in the mail to you.

Halloween Tombstone card with Monster Bash

When I send Halloween cards, I like them to be decor (like the Slime card)!

This one looks like a tombstone and features the new Monster Bash paper. It folds flat to mail and needs only a regular stamp.  There's a place on the back to write a note.

Can you see the embossing of the spiders?  and the Have a Happy Halloween in silver?

We'll make this fun fold at class on Sun Sept 8 130-330 at my lake house.  I have a few spots left, and if you want one, please RSVP MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

I'm making an instruction sheet for this fun fold card, and as soon as I do, I'll post it here (likely in the next few days).

Sailing Home Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are some of the most important cards we send.

I try and match the person who passed with a card that reflects their life and interests.

Sadly this older gentleman who loved the sea, passed away.  I hope this card was well received.

I love this sailing set, I find it versatile with the included sentiments and also matched with other sets for a graduation, birthday, hello, or for my husband, I used the sentiment "you are my true north".  If you search "sail" in the search bar, you'll find lots of idea.

Wishing you peace, MaryKate

Colorful Seasons Thank you

I needed to create several customer thank you notes. And I decided I had to use the Adirondack chair in the die set belonging to Colorful Seasons.

It's a simple card but the masking (you die cut a hole in a card and then use a brayer to get the pink oval), then stamp. The branch and flowers use a 2-step approach.  So it's 2 stamps so you get 2 colors but they line up just perfectly and easily.

I love this wood paper and it was perfect for the chair.

Happy crafting, enjoy these last summer days! MaryKate

Moose Anniversary

My anniversary is next month... and I usually make a few anniversary cards (after all I'm a card maker!)

What do you think?

I removed the BullMoose antlers to make her into a CowMoose!!

I added hearts from the Every Season set also available in the new catalog.

I think he'll love it!

It's beginning to look a lot like Moose Season

I was in my craft creating cards for our August 25 class ... and then ... the Moose popped out of the cupboard!

Can you see the sentiment... it says... It's beginning to look a lot like...

and inside... Moose Season

(I did this by masking various sentiments, very easy to do).

You can't be surprised, I live on Great Moose Lake in Maine.

And here's a pretty one to celebrate fall.

I'm working on an anniversary card (with the moose) stay tuned!

The moose is part of a stamp and punch set and  is available Sept 4, 2019, if you don't have a holiday catalog that goes live this Sept, let me know and I'll get one in the mail to you!

Congratulations Laurie on your Stampin Up Promotion

It's always fun to celebrate a team mate's promotion.  The first promotion you get at Stampin Up is to Bronze Elite and its comes with a 25% discount for all products.

To celebrate Laurie's achievement I created a copper bag of copper goodies. We don't have "bronze" anything so I thought copper would be fine!

The bag included copper ribbon, copper embossing, a 12x12 pack of copper foil and these fun copper bags!

I made a fun card with the pigment sprinkles.  I first embossed the Seaside Notions in copper, using watercolor paper.  Then I mixed up the Granny Apple Green, the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil delight sprinkles and "washed" them on.

Can you see the spots? I created these by tapping a few (just a few) of the sprinkles right on the paper.

I could have used copper foil for the background (cut at 2" the card is at 1 7/8") but decided to make it look a little "sandy" by first scraping the edge of the card on the Versa mark (sticky ink that holds the embossing powder) then I put the copper embossing powder on and heat set it (with a heat tool - hotter than a hair dryer).

Then I created the greeting and layered the card with a little copper thread.

It's a great time to join Stampin Up as you get extra free product this month only. It's $99 for the kit, and you choose $155 of anything including anything from the holiday catalog.  It ships free.  There are no further obligations and if you don't order anything in the next 6 months, your account drops. That's it.  So you make it what you want it to be!  email me if you have questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

Happy crafting and congratulations Laurie

More Bird Ballard!!

Another #simplestamping card for you.

I used a regular sized card 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded in half.  The designer paper covers the card (cut it 4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  Wrap the lace around the paper, tie in a bow.

Take a piece of whisper white 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 and stamp the birds and greeting. Color in the birds with blends.

Use the light Pool Party blend and shade in the background behind the birds.  Attach to the front of the card with dimensions.

Stamp inside, decorate your envelope and put it in the mail to make someone's day.

I hope this inspires you to stamp!  Happy stamping, MaryKate

Scallop cards for #simplestamping

If you follow my blog you know I love simple and easy - and all the pre-cut pre-scored card options we have!

This year Stampin Up released these great new cards - 20 scallop cards with envelopes for $8.

This one I made using the Bird Ballard suite.  So pretty and so easy. The designer paper is 2 3/4 x 4 3/4 and with a little lace and the trinket it's a great card.

I received several of these scallop cards from others.

This one was a thank you note for a graduation gift.  One stamp, embossed in copper.  It's really wow.

This one from Cathy Jones a team mate, I love that she used tone on tone stamping and can you see the little strip of paper that she put on the inside of the card that shows on the outside under the scallops.   Love it!

Don't forget - use the host code when you shop in my online store (see it top right?) and this month you will get a packet of glitter dots from me!
