Blooms and Ice Creams... fun time at Stamp Camp

It's fun to go to another demonstrator's class.  It's relaxing, you get new ideas, tips on teaching, and a fun experience.

I made these projects at The Virtual Stamp Camp - Blooms above and Ice Cream below.

My ice cream class is delayed a few weeks as the stamp set and punch are on backorder but I plan to start Ice Cream by March 8 (3 classes 12 projects and the stamp set is the total bundle!). I can't wait to include some of these cards above as well as the one's I've created.

Don't forget the upcoming Paper Pumpkin Bouquet of Hope - it's stunning - 8 pretty cards of love, hope, sympathy and comfort, if you'd like it, be sure to purchase this before the 10th of the month!

Video on how to make a fun fold card

Yesterday I posted a fun and easy Valentine card that we created at our Team Party!

Click here for the link to the post with the Love You Always Valentine Card and Treat holder

And here are 2 alternatives - somewhat "valentine-y" but really this design can be used for any occasion.

The first uses the Snailed it Set and Dies, I adore these cute snails and their mail -- and especially love the envelope die.

The second uses the cute pet paper from the annual catalog. Don't you love the goofy dog and grumpy cat?

Dimensions:

Base card 4 1/4 x 11, fold in half, trim off 1" off the front

Designer paper 4 tall by 5" wide, trim off 3/4 -- so you have 2 pieces each 4" tall and one 3/4 and the other 4 1/4.

Add on an element on the front of the card.

At the party, lots of ideas were flowing on what to do with this basic design:  add a bunch of flowers, or punch out strawberries, what about an ice-cream cone?

It's a team challenge and I'll be sure to post projects my team creates, right here on the blog!

Love You Always Valentine Card and Matchbook Treat Holder

We had our team Valentine party last night! We made these 2 projects and played some fun games. Lots of laughs and prizes and shared "love"!

The card is a great basic design perfect for many occasions.

I'll be live on Facebook on Jan 27 6pm ET on Facebook.com/SipCraftCare making these projects with tips and suggestions.

Base is 4 1/4 x 11, trim off 1" from the front.

Add patterned paper to the front cut 4 x 4 1/4, and then to the back panel cut at 3/4 x 4 1/4.

Add white to the inside 4 x 4 1/4. Stamp inside

Put anything you want on the front, we used hearts last night.  During the party I let my team know of their challenge!  Create a card with this basic design for any occasion.  We brainstormed what we would put instead of the heart.

What about ice-cream cones? a stamped image on on oval? the strawberries from Sweet Strawberry?  I'll post their creations here! It will be fun to see what they come up with!

The matchbook is a quick fun easy treat holder.  If you are making many, start with 8 1/2 x 11 trim it to 8 1/4 x 11.  Score on the short side at 3 1/4, 3 1/2, 7 1/4. Fold.  Insert a M&M treat "fun size", staple it inside with the smooth staple on the back. The front has 2 pieces of pattern paper 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 and 2 1/2 x 3/4.

Interested in being part of our team of crafters?  We share ideas, tips, have fun at our virtual and in-person gatherings... and you don't need to sell anything. To join Stampin Up (and get a 20% discount on everything), you select $125, pay $99, free shipping! And right now there's an extra offer of 200 sheets of pretty patterned paper! MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com if you have questions...all the fun, zero obligation!

Make lots and lots of these treat holders, and give them away, we could all do with some love these days!

Snailed it! A fun thank you or Valentine card

I adore this Snailed it set!  So fun. I made a thank you for MIL who is amazing!

She really snailed it (with a special favor I asked of her). So inside is the "snailed it" greeting.

This card was designed by my friend Joanne Starbuck.  The mail box is 3 x 4 1/4, with the slot for mail is 1" from the top, cut from 5/8 to 2 3/4. Thank you Joanne for the measurements.  I hand cut the "feet" of the mailbox but you could you a square or rectangle die.

I'll be offering a Saturday afternoon class with this great set, stay tuned. You'll need the stamp set for class (it's online!) but you won't need the dies!

I hope you like this set as much as I do, check out the catalog on page 54-55 for the full suite of coordinating products!  (All in my online store, just sayin'!)

Sweet Little Valentines Cards More with a how-to video

There is a cute kit on page 16 that makes 10 Valentines. I love it!

Click here for a video showing you the kit and options to extend the kit

I extended the kit by adding in some Memories and More note cards.  Here's the kit

And here it is made up as intended.

I'm making quite a lot of these cards, some cards I will sign and send but others I'll put in a box (or a cello bag) and send to my friends so they can send Valentine cards.

You can see here I stamped a whole bunch of different sentiments on hearts using the Heart Punch Pack. Then I added in some gold foil hearts and created different combinations of the sentiments.

I made the box in matching Pool Party.

Box directions:

Cut the base 6 1/2 x 5 1/4, cut off 1/16th (a smidge) off 2 connecting sides, then score at 3/4 on each side. Make the lid 6 x 4 3/4, score at 1/2 on all sides, punch out a semi circle on the edges (before you glue it together!) so the lid can be easily taken off.  Trim off a bit of the tabs and put it together. I have a short how-to video for you here. Click here for a how-to-make-a-box

And the card I made last night with added ribbon

And then here's the simple packaging - it's a 6x8 cello topped with the Sale-A-Bration Ombre paper and a heart greeting.  I love how the glitter dots "echo" the dots on the card and the matching envelope!

The kit, ribbon, dots, cello bag are all in my online store (click on the cart) and remember the host code as my customers are getting the new Heart Resin embellishments if they spend $50.  So at $50 you'll get great products, a free Sale-A-Bration item (stamp sets or paper), my IDEAS bundle of tutorials and yes...cute resin hearts.

Happy shopping! Happy crafting! MaryKate

Love you card and boxes with a how-to video

Last week I posted this video on how to create this fun card and decorate this Valentine "Love You" box!

It can be hard to see size in a photo and these boxes are 4 x 2 3/4 and 1 1/2 deep so they hold a lot! Hopefully seeing the gift card next to the box helps you see the size!

Click here for the video on the card and box

Dimensions of the card 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 trim off 1" from the front right side of the card, add a collection of hearts. Tip: make sure the top and bottom heart are flush with the card edge so it can easily go into an envelope.

I use a spritzer (I think I called it a sparkler!) Tip: use rubbing alcohol with 70% on the label!  I filled my spritzer with rubbing alcohol and some shimmer paint (I like the Champagne color). I spritzed it on the front of the card, it dries in 5 min, then trim, add hearts and words.

The words are from "Nothing More than"... we made a lot of fun projects last summer with this great bundle.

My friend Janey used this idea and made this fun card.  Do you see the little hearts that she used? That is part of a 4 pack "punch pack" and it's in clearance for $13,80 - for all 4 punches!  You can see more of Janey's work on her blog InspiredStamping.com

I you make a heart card too!  Any set will work for you to stamp or add words. I used the Be Mine Stitched Dies and Janey used Heartfelt stamps (a super Valentine set, mine has been getting a workout!)

If you need any supplies (first check your stash!) and if you still need them, click on the shopping cart for my store (for the stamps, dies, Love You boxes etc) and don't forget the host code - this month the gift is a pack of the fun resin hearts for anyone spending $50 or more!

Happy stamping, MaryKate

Upcoming Class information:
Sweet Strawberry Class is Feb 2 9 and 16 6-715pm Online $45.

It's a special treat as you get the Strawberry Stamp Set, Matching Strawberry Punch, AND the Berry Blessings Stamp Set and Berry Paper - with 12 projects all prepped for you - for $45 plus shipping to you (I can combine shipping with other classes or if you are crafting with a friend!)

Come Stamp with Me! Create a Valentine's Day Card

Hi... I'm moving my Valentine's Day class online to Wednesday evenings at 6pm on my Facebook page Facebook.com/SipCraftCare. I hope you can join me and craft along.  Here's what we will make Jan 13. The dimensions are below.

This Wednesday Jan 13 6pm we are making this card.  If you want to create along with me, bring a base card (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded) along with die cut or punched hearts.  We have several punches and dies that make a nice variety of hearts. I'll be using the Heartfelt dies.

I used the new Love You Always paper and foil - but check your stash, I'm sure you have something you can use.

For the words - I'm using the "love" and "you" from the dies "nothing more than" ... as in Love you more than chocolate, cookies etc. We played with this stamp and die set this summer, Click here to see these projects

You can die cut words or stamp, this is a fun easy card to make.  I'll post a link to the video on this blog entry after we create at 6pm Jan 13!

I will be creating several different Valentines cards and treat packaging each Wednesday evening at 6pm on my Facebook page, I hope you join me (live or on the replay!)

There are lots of fun new sets and dies and punches in our new catalog. You can find the catalog under the tab "shopping, deals, catalogs" or email me MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com and I can send you a paper copy (so much better to browse vs online!).

Don't forget the host code (if you are under $150) as I send out fun gifts to all my customers each month. If you are thinking of spending $100... the best deal is to create a Stampin Up membership (select $125, pay $99, no shipping, and you get a 20% discount on future purchases).  Jan and Feb 2021 there is an extra goodie for you - 200 sheets of pretty paper. Please email me if you have questions!

Happy creating, MaryKate
