Honey Bee 3 x 3 cards in a matching gold pizza box

If you follow me you'll know that I've been making samplers.

Samplers use 3 x 3 squares and larger 6 1/4 x 3 rectangles.

For the first 10 days in February I'll post a project every day that uses one of these squares or rectangles in a different way (cards, gift card holders, Lindt Bar wrappers and more!)

Today is a set of 3 x 3 cards with envelopes in a gold pizza box.

The square for the first card was designed by my team mate Suzanne Thoman in Florida; the cover for the Gold Box was made by Cathy Jones.

1.           Let’s start with the 3 x 3 square:  Daffodil Card stock layer is 3 x 3, designer paper is 2 7/8 x 2 7/8
2.           Suzanne colored in the flowers with Daffodil Blends
3.           She die cut the bee body and the wings in vellum and colored in the body in black
4.           Attach the die cuts to the designer paper (just attach the body so the wings “fly”)
5.           Add some gold glitter dots to the center of the flowers

6.           Attach the square to the Daffodil Delight base with dimensions
7.           Add to a 6 x 3 card folded in half.
8.           You have 2 options for envelopes – use the cute Best Dressed envelopes or a 3 x 3 envelope (both in my online store). You could attach designer paper to the envelop flap.

All the products (honey bee stamp set and dies, cardstock, vellum, gold box, dots) are available in my online store (click on the shopping cart) .. except the bee paper which is FREE with a $50 order!  email me with questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

Happy crafting, MaryKate
