Mystery Stamping - Join me Feb 23 on Zoom or Facebook to create together

Hello Lovely crafters,

Lori Stevens had a brilliant idea - mystery stamping!

I've created 4 projects and you can create alongside me Tues Feb 23 6-730pm on Zoom or Facebook.com/SipCraftCare

You bring your own supplies - 4 sheets of matching 6 x 6 patterned paper and some matching cardstock, matching ink and ribbon.

You will need to bring a stamp set and punch such as the butterfly gala stamp set and punch, or dragonfly, or the new strawberry, really ANY stamp set and punch

Trimmer and adhesive essential.

You may want to cut your white pieces ahead of time.

I have a 2 pager with dimensions for 4 projects.  We will be going a little more slowly than a regular class as you will be cutting paper etc. Email me MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com to get this free 2 pager and stamp along with us!

Join by Zoom (details below), or by Facebook.com/SipCraftCare - this is my "public facing FB" page.

If there are many people on Zoom, I may mute you but you can always take yourself off mute and ask a question.

There is no cost, you are bringing all your supplies :)
Invite a friend if you wish.  The more the merrier!

I think this will be lots of fun!! Feel free to email me or call me 207 431 0317 or text me with questions.

I'll post the projects on Wed Feb 24 right here!

Happy crafting!

Team Challenge Prizes

This is a fun idea to wrap a little gift.  A cello bag with a pretty paper topper.  These are prizes for team members who won challenges.

I topped the bag with paper cut the width of the item x 3" and folded it in half so 1 1/2" of paper shows.

The flowers are made differently.  The light pink flower uses our Vase punch for petals and the other darker pink is 2 "lovely label" shapes scrunched up and connected with a brad. Easy!

The little messages are made with the mini messages stamp and die. It makes 19 messages with 1 stamp and 1 die, wow!!

We had a layout challenge - so I showed them a layout and they created all kinds of different looks!

Click here to see the original challenge

I made the snail card and others are some entries... the winner is by random drawing of all entries

Below from Nancy Blake

This one and the next from Terry Dell Amico!

Lots of fun to interpret a layout. So fun!

Cover a jar with pretty paper instead of fabric! with Strawberry Paper

A fun way to decorate a jar (of jam, a candle etc)

Take a 6 x 6 piece of paper and if you wish, round the corners (trace the edge of a salad plate) or leave as is. The photo above has the paper rounded, the video shows without the rounding!

You'll see both version in this video (it's at the end of the video).  Click here for the video

Spritz on rubbing alcohol (about 10 sprays, 5 sprays on either side), take this damp piece of paper and press it on top of the jar, hold it for about 60 seconds and as it dries, the paper will take the shape of the jar.

When the paper is dry it will hold the jar shape.

Wrap about 36" of twine and add a greeting.

In 2min you have a cute jar topper!!

I hope you try it, let me know if you have questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

A "flap fold" card with In Bloom with a quick video

Hi all ...  I created a quick video last night click here to see it to make this card.  Dimensions of the patterned paper: 5 1/2 x 12, score on the long side at 4 and 8.

The left photo is closed, middle is open.

Tip: cut the corners off the long pattern paper. Use your trimmer to place the edge of your paper on the edge of your trimmer and then the fold in the gutter. It's easy and the video shows you how. You can measure 1 3/4 from each side and cut to the fold but the trimmer makes it easy :)

The right photo:  You'll see I cut the slit at the front 1" from the fold (bottom of the front of the card) and it's 3" long. I use a post it to make the measurement easy.

My inside is 4 x 5 1/4 and it looks pretty stamped or left white.  I used Thick Basic White to give the card a bit of "heft".

This can be a fun card or an invitation or a gift card holder

I used the free In Bloom paper (free with a $50 order) and my ink is Rococo Rose.  The matching dies are super pretty with a pierced detail to them.

Stamps, dies and paper is all in my online store...but check your stash, this card layout works with just about any floral set (I know you have one!) and any pretty patterned paper.
