Honey Bee NotePad: Be You

If you follow me you'll know that I've been making samplers.

Samplers use 3 x 3 squares and larger 6 1/4 x 3 rectangles.

For the first 10 days in February I'll post a project every day that uses one of these squares or rectangles in a different way (cards, gift card holders, Lindt Bar wrappers and more!)

Today is a covered writing pad to use a sampler rectangle.

We received this writing pad at OnStage and it’s 8 x 4 ½.
1.           I covered the pad with 2 pieces of designer paper. Black Honeycomb is 7 ¼ x 3 ¾. The white honeycomb paper is cut 3 ¾ x 1

The Rectangle is 6 ¼ x 3 (Daffodil Delight), black designer paper is 6 x 2 ¾ and white honeycomb is 5 ¾ x 2 ½

I attached the daffodil delight ruched ribbon and a bow.

The letters are die cut with the prose dies.  I layered a black letter with a Daffodil Delight letter.

For the “O” I used the Small Bloom punch (free in the Sale-A-Bration offer).

A little bee (layered over a bee cut from daffodil delight)

Finally, add a dot to the flower (the “o”)

All the products (honey bee stamp set and dies, ribbon, punch, ink, dots) are available in my online store (click on the shopping cart) .. except the bee paper which is FREE with a $50 order!  email me with questions MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com

Happy crafting, MaryKate
