A tool holder or a mug, fun to create and fill with goodies

This is a toolholder - or with handle it could be a mug!

Ingredients

Base 6 x 9 ½ scored on the long side at 1 ½, 3, 4 ½ 6, 7 ½, 9; Score along the short side at ¾  (at the top of the tool holder) and at 1 ½ for the bottom of the tool holder

DSP 3 1/4 x 1, Foil is 3 1/2 x 1 1/4

2” circle for bottom outside (for finish)

Instructions

1.   Adhere the DSP to the foil. Adhere the DSP/foil to the 6 sections of the tool holder.

2.   Burnish the tool holder on all score lines.

3.   Trim the side tab – this is the ½”  edge – trim off both the top and bottom squares, miter the edge, see the photo with the 2 arrows.

4.   Cut the tabs at the bottom (no need to miter).

5.   Fold down the top “cuff” tip - do this BEFORE you create the holder

6.   Now, put tear n tape along the ½ side tab and then fit the tab into the on to the holder to make it a hexagon. See the red arrow to the right.

7.   Now turn your holder upside down and adhere all the tabs putting a bit of liquid glue or tear tape on each tab. Hold the holder carefully to ensure it dries nice and evenly (no wonky holders!)

8.   Cover the bottom with a 1 ½ or 2” circle (to look nice, not essential) but can also be used for a greeting.

What will you put in your toolholder or mug?
