Day 2 of 12 Days of Christmas The Year of Cheer Card Pouch and 2 Foil cards

I love this pouch – I designed it to hold either the notecards ( 3 ½ x 5) or regular cards 5 ½ x 4 ¼ with envelopes.  And the pouch is made with an 8 ½ x 11 sheet (with some trimming and scoring).   I received a similar pouch with cards from my Mom (separate story on why she gives me cards, when I make them.... :))

I chose to use the notecards (and now they are on sale in October for 15% I’m glad I did).  I love the Year of Cheer paper and embellishments and this had to be part of Big Event Oct 14.

I decorated the front with the starburst paper (there are 4 metallic designs in this set).

I used a little silver thread behind the bow and the matching snowflakes.

The front and the cards use the Watercolor Christmas stamp set (part of your supply fee for Oct 14). I used Real Red but I think embossing in silver, gold or copper would be great too.

I love the metallic edged ribbon, it comes in silver and gold so I used both in the set.  Along with the Foil Snowflakes and the Year of Cheer embellishments.   I used silver and gold foil as my background layers – if you can’t bling out in the holidays – when can you bling out??

Here's a close up of all the little extras I used.  I love that everything matches, it means that projects turn out looking really wow and professional.

If you’d like the pattern, this project and the full set of the 12 days of Christmas are included with the Oct 14 event (full color instructions, lots of details and photos) or with any order placed in October with the host code, or as always free to anyone on my team.

We are making this project at our Oct 14 event in Pittsfield – let me know if you are in by Oct 5 for the $30 price for 5 projects, and the Christmas Watercolor set.  If I get an RSVP after the 5th you’ll have to pay extra to cover expedited shipping.

Happy stamping - MaryKate
