Calypso Coral with Petal Garden Designer Series

Our challenge… make anything using only Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla.   Here's my entry.

I made a card using the color blocking technique.  The designer paper is 3 x 4 cut into 3 1” strips. The calypso coral back is 3 ½ x 4 1/4. 

I used the Petal Garden Designer Series pack.  See the 2 sheets on the far left?  That’s what I used.  The roses were so pretty I couldn’t through them out so I hand cut them out and decorated my envelope. 

And then Very Vanilla base and Very Vanilla ribbon.  Simple but I think has a bit of wow.  After I submit this I think I’ll add some Wink of Stella for pop.  I love a little sparkle. 

Here’s Sheryl Knight’s card – very wow with all the dimension. The leaves are a 3D embossing folder and the orchid is layered for more dimension.  The branch is from the very versatile Seasonal Colors stamp and die set. I thought she nailed it. It makes me glad that the entry is chosen by random number not talent J

I’ll post other entries later this week – it’s still early and I know my team will create some fun things… I wonder if we’ll see a box or tag or scrapbook page???  Who doesn't like a chance to win a stamp set? :)
