Day 4 of 13 Spooky Halloween Projects - The Spooky Cat LED candle

This is a fun co-worker gift.  It looks fun on a desk.

Pick an LED candle that is about 3” in diameter and has a flicker.  I found mine at the Dollar Store.  The label says it will last 110 hours so that will get me through to Halloween.

Wrap the bottom of the candle with the metallic washi tape.

Wrap the bottom (just about the washi) with tear n tape and attach about 10” of the crochet lace to the tear n tape.

Punch out the cat. Adhere to the candle with liquid glue.  Hold it in place for 2 minutes as the waxy finish takes a bit longer to stick.

I love packaging... it can take a simple item and make it wow.

To make the package, take a 6 x 17 cello bag (love these, great for wine bottles, loaves, and more).   Cut the designer paper 5 15/16” x 12, score at 3 1/2” for the bottom of the bag (making it a smidge less than 6” makes it easy to insert.

Insert the designer paper into the cello bag, ensuring the 3 1/2” is at the bottom of the gusseted bag.  Use glue dots to make the bottom plastic sit flat.

Insert the candle, and some black shred.  Fold the top of the bag over and clip or staple the bag closed.

If you wish, stamp out a Halloween label and punch out with the matching punch.  Add to the top of the bag.
