Day 3 a coffee cup card with a single coffee cup.
This
card uses the new Very Vanilla notecards (they come 20 to a pack, cut and scored with envelopes).
Cut
your designer paper about 3 x 4 ½ and your copper foil about 2 ¾ x 4 ¼; layer
these up – I liked them offset.
Stamp
the large coffee cup and lid and cut out with the matching dies. I used Early Espresso for both.
Stamp the Witches Brew on Pumpkin Pie and die
cut a coffee sleeve, I like the die with the ridges.
I love the Coffee Café set in the annual catalog and this matching
holiday set is so fun.
Adhere
some copper ribbon to the lid along with a heart or teabag or a bow. I used a lot of mini dimensions to make it pop.
Now
attach the coffee cut and lid with dimensions to the front of your card. And then add a hat (I cut this from the Spooky Cat Designer Paper) and a copper bow as well.
Stamp
a greeting inside the card.
If
you want you can create a gift card holder by cutting a piece of cardstock 3 ¼
x 4, punching out a semi circle (with an oval or circle punch), and attaching
it inside the card with tear tape.
I
know you all loved the mini coffee cups when we boxed them into 2 cup
packages. These cups come from
WebRestaurantStore.com Sadly they only
sell massive quantities, so if you are local and want to make one, just let me
know and I’ll give you a mini coffee cup. The straw is from the dollar store (one straw cut in half). Size is tricky to see bu these are about 4" tall.
Here’s
a idea for a single cup - and you'll see I did this in 2 sizes, the taller one that can hold a gift card and the shorter one that is also a bit wider (so it can hold a larger label on the back). These measurements are for the taller one. The shorter one is 1/2" shorter and 1/2" wider.
The
holder is 2 ½ x 11, score at 4 ½, 7, 7 ¾, 10 ¼. Burnish your folds. Decorate
the front of the box with designer paper 5/8 x 2 3/8 (think about using a small
pattern). Cut a piece of designer paper
for behind the coffee cup or stamp a greeting and add to the front of the
holder. Punch out a hole in the front part of the holder, 2" is perfect.
Stamp
a Halloween label, punch it out and adhere to the back of the folder. Do you remember the copper foil for the card (frugal me, I cut out a label from it and here it is!). Cut the foil in half and adhere to the back for a fun look.
Decorate
the coffee cup using a template from a cup you cut up.
Make
a band from the same template but 1 ½ wide.
Stamp
the witches brew image and cut out with your circle dies or stitched shape or 1 1/4 punch. Add this to the band (coffee sleeve) on the
front of the cup with dimensionals.
Cut
out a circle 1 3/8 for the top of the cup out of designer paper. With 2 step stamping stamp on the "brew"
Add
some candy to the cup and it’s so cute!!!
If
you want to add a gift card to go behind the
coffee cup, attach the card with a glue dot and make a band about 6 ½ x ¾ and
wrap it around the gift card. Put the
join at the back and cover the join with your Halloween label.
