Day 6 Post It Note Holder for a desk

I love this cute desk decoration - a practical pretty item to make for yourself (remember that whole "put your own mask on first...") or it's a cute gift.

Sometimes it's hard to see size, so I hope the water bottle helps :)

This was designed by Carrie Roads but sadly she's no longer a Stampin Up demonstrator.

Here's a sideways view so you can see how they stand up.

We made this at our Christmas in July and as soon as I saw the Eclectic paper..I had to make it Lemon Lime Twist with Navy accents!

Base 5 ¾ x 12
Score on the long side 2, 2 ½, 6, 9 ½, 10 ½, 11 1/2
Score on the short side ½ 1 4 ¾ 5 ¼

Make sure you are at the top of the cardstock.

From the 2 ½ lines cut to the bottom (the bottom has the lines for the mountain fold at the bottom of the holder).  Then trim the tabs see photo to the right

The next photo shows how to remove the squares to create the tabs, don’t forget to notch the tabs.
Now fold and burnish the score lines  - see photo below ? It shows the mountain fold at the bottom of the holder, that holds it upright.

Use tear tape to secure the back to the front on the ½ score line.   Create the front of the holder by tucking in the tabs and adhering the sides.

Now add DSP and about 18” of ribbon in a bow.

Stamp using the Pretty Labels set with the matching punch.  I used the crinkled night of navy ribbon.  Love this combo of lemon lime with Night of Navy.

Add the pencil and post it note.   You can add a pocket on the back for gift cards or business cards.

Why not tuck in a little gift card into the holder - that would make a great gift!

Tomorrow is the last project. If you'd like a pdf of all 7 projects, any order you place with the host code, will get you a pdf right to your email inbox!

Today USA Today said 63% of all Mom's found Back to School MORE stressful than holidays.. I hope these projects have made it more fun!

Happy stamping, MaryKate
