Our own tin of tags class - thank you for a fun night!!

I bought my tin from Family Dollar but there are tins at Reny’s or Dollar General (different size to mine).

I measured my tin and made an insert that is 8 ½ x 3 ¾ and score it at 2 ¼, 3 ¾, 5 1/14 and folded it to make the insert.  I rounded the corners as my tin had rounded corners.  Now I have a large and a small compartment.

The first tag is a 4 ¼ x 2” tag made in shimmer paper.  First I use the embossing buddy and stamp (with versamark) the “tis the season greeting and 5-7 stars, then white or clear embossing powder.  Make sure your heat tool is on for 30 seconds before you heat the embossing powder.   Once done, I brush both sides with water using the aqua painter.  Both sides as it warps less.  Then with a little ink, I used Tempting Turquoise (or dapper denim would be pretty) and a few drops of water I “scribble” on some swirls.  Then with a very watery ink mix I paint on the background on both sides.  Now the embossing shows up.  Let it dry and add ribbon to match.  I used the thin silver ribbon.

Now make 2 stocking tags, I used the new cable knit 3D embossing folder (you only need 1 cutting plate as it’s very thick), and cut out a stocking and a little “top cuff” for the stocking.

My other stocking uses gold stocking and then on top is the vellum stocking.  I used glue dots to adhere the vellum stocking and I added a gold toe and heel to cover up where I put the glue dots.

Now stamp 3 peaceful trees and cut out with the matching Perfect Pines dies, don’t forget To and From on the back!

For the 3 foil ornaments I used different foils and backed them with glimmer paper.  The last ornament is made by wrapping washi tape around the paper and cutting it out with the die.
