Silver Elite Leadership Event in New Orleans

Stampin Up has a leadership event coming up in August 2020 in New Orleans.  To attend you need to be a leader, that is at the Silver Elite level.

I have several team members who are oh-so-close- and really want to make it.

I thought I'd create a little motivation with a card they can keep in their craft rooms and a little present to inspire them to get to New Orleans - a pocket travel guide to the city. I know they will get there and so they'll need this guide.

I made a Tiffany Like custom box.  I measured my card and my book and decided the box needed to be 

6 1/4" x 4 3/4" and the base needed to be 1 1/8" deep and the lid only 3/4" deep (I like the base and lid to contrast)

So for the base it's 
1 1/8 deep plus 6 1/4 plus 1 1/8 = 8 1/2
1 1/8 deep plus 4 3/4 plus 1 1/8 = 7
So cut the paper 8 1/2 x 7
take a smidge that is 1/16" of 2 connecting sides to make the box a bit smaller
and then score at 1 1/8

For the lid 
3/4 deep plus 6 1/4 plus 3/4 = 7 3/4
3/4 deep plus 4 3/4 plus 3/4 = 6 1/4
score at 3/4

Cut the tabs, glue together and then decorate the box with the silver edged ribbon and our stunning Frost silver paper.

I hope they like it and it's an inspiration... I know I'd have 10 times the fun with my team mates with me in New Orleans!!
