We are gathering in Freeport Maine for our Craft and Bingo event. There is premium outlet shopping, an arts festival and our event - all on Saturday Oct 5. Shop, Eat, Craft, Win... what could be better?
I'm making some treats for the bags and for the table.
It could be a tiring and busy day -- so chocolate is in order :)
These matchbook treats are super fast and easy. I'm making a lot so I took a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock, trimmed it to 8 1/4. Then scored the whole sheet (with the 8 1/4 on top) at 3 1/4, 3 1/2, 7 1/4.
Then cut it into 4 equal pieces at 2 3/4 each
Staple in the M&M fun size - see the rough side of the staple is on front? This is covered by the designer paper and the smooth side is exposed on the back.
Add some designer paper. Saturday the attendees can add a Ho Ho Ho stamp in the Delicata Gold ink for some decoration.
The candy bags are our 3 x 6 cellos, with a piece at the bottom to make the bag stand up (3 x 2 1/2) fill with candy and staple on a piece of designer paper cut 3 x 4, folded in half. Add a punched tree. On Saturday we will add a bit more decoration!
Stay tuned for our next event, this one is sold out!
Happy shopping, happy crafting! MaryKate
