3x3 Perfectly Plaid gift card enclosures in a Gold Pizza Box

This a fun gift box to make.  You can include some 3 x 3 notes and it's a nice gift, you can add in a cookie or a treat or even a gift card.

The Gold Pizza Box finishes at 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 so it's a nice size.  

I've made some gift card enclosures with the Plaid paper.  You can cut the designer paper 3 x 3 as I did and then there is no "layer" showing the white card - or you could cut this 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and then you have a peek of white.

I punched out a tree to go on top.  I wanted my 2 1/4" circle to cover to "hole" left by the tree punch so I need to be careful where I cut my tree.  So I punched a tree from a post it note making sure the punched tree has some of the sticky end of the post it note. Now I put that post it note tree on the paper (see it on the red plaid above?) and it's my guide on where to punch the tree.

Then I layer the card.  First I put a little gold thread about 18" on the back securing the thread with dimensions, the put the circle on the plaid.  And then my tree.  And a ho ho ho greeting on a 1/2 strip of whisper white.

The greeting can go horizontal or on an angle.  

I made another "card topper" for the top of the box.  

Don't forget to decorate your envelopes... it's about 3 x 2" of scrap plaid paper, adhere it to the back and trim.
