This is my second box of thank you cards for my niece. Her colors are petal pink and a sage green (not too far from Old Olive). On Tuesday of this week I posted a box of cards I made with the stamp set.
I selected several of the 3 x 4 cards and then wrapped matching twine around the front (secure at the back with scotch tape). I then layered on a piece of Mossy Meadow to the back cut 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. I stamped "thank you" and punched it out with the new Story Label punch.
I added the thank you shape to the front with dimensions. Then I added a bow with a glue dot. So it looks like the string comes up through a hole but really the bow goes on last!
I love that the envelopes are lined. I inserted the lining, folded it down, then adhered the top flap down.
I love that some of them didn't even need the "thank you" label but where a thank you right out of the box.
I made a matching box to fit. The cards finish at 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 - so I wanted the box to finish at 6 3/4 x 4 3/4.
Base is 2" deep so cut the paper 10 3/4 x 8 3/4 - cut a smidge off 2 connecting sides that is 1 / 16" then score at 2" on all 4 sides.
Lid is 1" deep so cut the paper 8 3/4 x 6 3/4 and score at 1" on all sides. Trim the tabs, glue the tabs in and then add a final card to the front.
These cards are lovely. You get 50 in the box and most are 3 x 4 and some are 6 x 4. Lots of stickers to match and decorate with. A super fun set to play with - perfect if you are an avid crafter or a beginner looking for a simple project.
I inserted a card on the inside as the paper is dark to write on. I stamped a small magnolia and added a tiny bit of color.
I should finish her M&M book this weekend and I 'll post a final photo showing the completed book!
Happy stamping, MaryKate
