Creating an Apron of Love mini box

How to create the Apron Box

Thank you for stopping by today.  Yesterday’s blog hop post showed you this cute Apron Box in the new In-Colors.  As promised here is the set of instructions (and don’t forget to subscribe, that way you will get all my project details). This is what we are making.   If you scroll down to yesterday's post you'll see a card and this box from the Apron of Love set.

We are using this stamp and die set, very versatile as so many people wear aprons these days.. think Home Depot, Dunkin Donuts, all kinds of retailers... there are lots of uses for this one!

Use thick Whisper White and cut a piece 2 3/4 x 6 ½
On the long side score at
1/2 , 1 ½, 3 ½, 4 ½
on the short side score at 3/4

Trim the square off the end (the piece measuring ½ x ½
Cut and notch the tabs – see the photo above.

Adhere the ½ piece to the inside of the box, your box is symmetrical so just fold it flat.

Now close up the ottom.

Now die cut 2 aprons, I used the fun new in-color paper.
Consider using a smaller pattern as this is a smaller box.
Die cut the apron pocket, the strings, neck tie, and create 2 complete aprons.

Then attach each apron to the front and the back of the box.
You can fill these with a lot of things, chocolates, a recipe, a gift card, glue, what will you fill yours with? I hope you make one!

Several of you asked about the tag from yesterday's post, here's a link with all the dimensions and instructions.

And several of you asked for the dimensions and details of this card, here's the link with all the details

This was my Angel Bundle last month and I still have 2 kits left.  If you order this bundle, then I mail you supplies to make 3 projects.  Just click on the online store and search for Apron.  This is really a fun set!

Happy Stamping, MaryKate
