Star of Light Cards with Texture

This Star stamp and die set is so pretty.. lots of different stars for stamping, embossing, and cutting with the Big Shot and the matching dies.

I like cards with some texture.  To create some texture for your card you could either emboss your navy piece with either softly falling for snow or the stars or sparkle embossing folders, or use the masks with navy ink for a tone on tone look.

Cut a navy piece 4 x 5 ¼ (or what about Island Indigo or Elegant Eggplant)?  I used the sparkle embossing folder on the left and masking with the star mask on the right.  To mask I used a brayer and the matching Night of Navy ink.

I stamped 2 different greetings on a piece of whisper white 1 1/4 x 4 and adhered it to the navy cardstock about ¼ from the bottom edge of the navy cardstock.

With the framelits, cut a star from the silver glimmer paper and a big star from silver foil.  Or use gold glimmer and gold foil.  Attach the glimmer star to the foil star with glue dots and then add a rhinestone or a gold star.

Do you like the gold or the silver better?

Cut a piece of the 1/8 silver ribbon and attach it at the top edge of the sentiment and secure it to the back with snail or regular tape (see above)

Add the star to the center of the navy cardstock.   Adhere to the card base 8 ½ x 5 ½ piece of thick whisper white folded in half.

Consider stamping a star on your envelope and a greeting inside the card.

Happy Stamping!
