Delicate Ornament Card

We are creating our own “tin of tags” tomorrow at class.  As I was preparing for the class where we will use these delicate ornament thinlets, I let myself get distracted and made this card.  I love these dies!

The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded.  The “design element” here is to use the very thin edge of the night of navy layer (cut at 5 3/8 x 4 1/8) and the thin night of navy bakers twine to match the thin lines of the ornaments.

The greeting is from the very popular Hang Your Stocking set (goes on sales tomorrow at 25% off).

The tiny bit of sparkle is made by mixing liquid tombow glue with water (about 3:1 glue to water) and then with a paintbrush or aqua painter, dip into watery gluey mixture and tap the brush so it sprinkles the paper with tiny drops of watery glue.  Then cover these tiny drops with gold glitter.  It dries pretty quick but I try and leave it alone for 20 minutes ;)

Tomorrow I’ll post all of the tags we make with these ornament and the stocking dies.

Happy crafting, MaryKate
