Ribbon of Courage Valentine Card in Petal Garden Paper

Hi stampers –

So… a few of you were surprised at class when I said I didn’t get a new Valentine set from the new catalog (and let me know if you didn’t get a catalog and would like one, MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com)

Anyway… there are nice Valentine sets but I’m having a lot of fun with sets I have including Ribbon of Courage for this card.  And I’ll be going back to my faithful Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sunshine Wishes, Work of Art and the new Party Panda set.    You never know I might just get Heart Happiness J

Here’s a card from the Ribbon of Courage set.  It’s a 4 x 4 card with petal embossing.

I cut out 3 circles from the Petal Paper (annual catalog) and a strip of the paper (other side) in Old Olive.

I stamped the greeting in Pool Party. It’s super easy to make a coordinated card as the inks match the paper.  3 circles, 1 ½ strip and then I had just enough paper to decorate the envelope flap.    All this from 1 6x6 piece of paper, Whisper White and a bit of twine.

Super pretty paper - love the colors of Old Olive, Pool Party, Sweet Sugarplum and Calypso Coral.  Only a few left in my stash.

I made the envelope from copy paper with my envelope punch board.  Now I’m thinking about it… I think we need an envelope punch board class with new projects from this ever-so-useful tool.

Happy crafting!  MaryKate
