Wine (and other bottle) packaging with the 6x17 cello bags

Wine is a great gift, in fact lots of things come in bottles that make nice gifts:  lotions, oils and vinegars, specialty cooking sauces, bubbles and more. But bottles are harder to wrap (but easier to open!)

I love that it’s easy to make either a wine tag (this one is 2” wide and the hold is 1 1/2 “ wide) with the triple banner punch making the end banner.  I decorated it with a strip of the Quilted Designer Paper that is 1 1/2 “ wide and used the Merry Label set with the matching punch.  A little felt embellishment and I’m done.

I also like the 6 x 17 cello bags… these gusseted bags can have the bottom folded down to make it flat and then you just slide in the bottle and add tinsel or ribbon.  Done! Easy Peasy.  These large bags are great with a  piece of paper 4 x 6 folded in half to 2 x 6 and you just put the gift inside, and then the paper topper over the top of the cello bag, staple, add a label.  Done!

I’ve also used these bags for a loaf of my zucchini bread – if you search on cello or on zucchini in the search bar above, you’ll see lots of different ideas.

Happy packaging MaryKate
