Trimming the Town Scene or Tableau Card

This is an easy fun fold - perfect for when your designer paper has a scene or tableau (vs a repeating pattern).  Other Stampin Up designer paper that offers "scenes" include the Feels like Frost paper or the Whale paper.

This one uses Trimming the Town, I love these snowy tableau.

Dimensions:    Base:    8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 1 ½ and 4 ¼, The DSP is cut 5 ¼ x 5 ¾ now cut into 3 panels: panel 1 is 2 ¼ wide, panel 2 is 1 ½ wide and panel 3 is 2” wide.  Ribbon 24”  2 circles, one is 2 1/4, the other is 2" I used punches but layering circle dies work fine.

Tips

Once your card is folded in half, fold it back for the front.
Now tie the ribbon to the front of the card. This is important to do before you adhere the designer paper.

Lay out your 3 pieces of designer paper - they are different widths so this is easy.  Large, small, medium, in this order

Now put your front piece on - tip - line up the top left corner of the designer paper with the top left corner of the cardstock.  NOT the right hand corner - this is the most common mistake.

Put adhesive on the CARDSTOCK (front of card) NOT the designer paper as some of the back of the paper is not adhered to cardstock.  This is the second most common mistake :)

Now add the middle piece on top of the ribbon, then the last designer piece and then the white piece with a stamped greeting.  Finally add the 2 circles with the greeting.  I used the Buffet Tag stamp set for both greetings.  I featured this on my blog Sept 12.

Add the circles and greeting.

This stunning designer paper is available in my online store, just $11.50 for a pack of 12 sheets! As is the cardstock, Misty ribbon and more crafty goodness!

Happy stamping - MaryKate
