My
friend Janey Backer created this cute
box. It’s quite large and easily holds 8-10 Hershey’s kisses.
I'm using the All My Love paper and matching Be Mine Heart Dies and the ribbon.
1.Cut
the base in designer paper or cardstock
8 x 4
2.Score
on the long side at 4”
3.Now
score with the short side on top, find
the middle (2”) and score from there to the 4” score line on the diagonal. Do
this 4 times. You could use your trimmer with the scorer or a ruler and stylus.
I’m showing you this in Bermuda Bay with the score lines in pink sharpie so you can see
4.Burnish
your folds
5.Punch
4 holes at the top, do 1 at about ½ “ done and ½” in and then use this as a
guide for the other holes
6.Put
your candy
inside,
and add
the ribbon
– can you
see how
I threaded
it?
I
used the
Lovely Lipstick about 14”
7.If
you want
you bow
to end
up parallel
to the
box, tied
the know
the opposite
way –
perpendicular. Now
tie the
bow
8.See
how it
lies in
the opposite
direction
to the
knot? Handy tip ! and then trim the ends (it’s a bit of a waste but
so much easier to have
longer ribbon
to tie
a nice
bow. And I left the waste so you can see it's not that much!
9.Decorate
the front
– I used the Me Mine hearts dies. No
greeting. But I could easily add
one.
And
here is our box – will you make one? Lots? You can get 4 from 1 piece of 12 x
12 paper!
