Jar of Love Card with Flowers and a Gift Card Holder

I can’t say this is a fast card, but it’s really pretty.  Sometimes you need a special birthday or thank you card and this one has room for a gift card and it stands up like an easel. I like the summer look of fresh white.  I think if I do this for the holidays, I’d put on a few more layers of designer paper.

I stamp all the images first (Jar of Love set) and then cut them all out with the big shot and play with arranging them.  Tip:  for 2 step stamping look for the “arrow” on the stamp to help you with lining it up for the second stamp.

I then stamp the jar, the water and the stamped bow, and the stems.   Then I add flowers with white glue and a few dimensions.  When I stamped I used the same ink but stamped off so I’d get a lighter and then a darker color (with stamping off you always have more colors that you first think!).  Then I added in stems with a marker. If I was clever I would haves stamped the stems first!  If you have extra flowers why not put them inside your card, or have one “falling” down next to your jar.

When your front is finished adhere to a Mint Macaron piece. Score the base at 2 ¾ and 5 ½ fold it so the jar can “stand up” like an easel.  Adhere the front jar piece to the base of the card.  Take the small mint piece and punch part of the circle (to make it easy to retrieve the gift card) and with Tear N Tape adhere to the inside front of the card (so it’s hidden til it’s opened).

I like that this card stands up like an easel and the gift card is a surprise when you open the card.

There's an instruction sheet in the tab Ideas, Project and Free Things.

Happy Stamping!
