Fun with 3 x 3 paper

Our challenge continues... and this is a cute card with 4 strips of 3 x 1 paper. (See posts over the past few days for our team challenge with 3 x 3 designer paper).

And while this one doesn't fit into the challenge, I just love this Bonanza Buddy paper. Also it's nice to see the size difference with the left notecard vs the right full sized card (5 1/2 x 8 1/2).

All the designer paper is retiring, so if there's anything on your wish list from the retiring catalog I'd get it soon.

Once items are gone... they are poof! gone!

Gift Card Holder It Starts with Art with Strip Notecard It Starts with Art

A few more 3 x 3 projects for you -- the 3 x 3 refers to the piece of designer paper

This is a quick and easy gift card holder that stands up due to the "m" fold at the bottom

For details and measurements, click here when I created this for Valentine's Day this year.

Here it is open so you can see the scoring.

And with the gift card

Here's a simple notecard that I love.  I took my 3 x 3 squares and made them 3 x 3/4 and added them to a layer measuring 4  3/4 x 3 1/4. I love seeing all the paper together.  I think it's perfect to send to a crafter.

And finally today, I used the 6 x 3 cello bags and filled with SunKist treats and used a piece 3x3 folded in half, topped with a flower.

So much you can do with a 3 x 3 piece of paper!

3 x 3 treat packaging for Merci Chocolates with It Starts with Art

Amazing what you can do with a 3 x 3 piece of paper (check the past few days for details on this challenge).

I wrapped a Merci chocolate (no scoring needed) around the chocolate, sealed it closed with tear n tape.

I punch a hole in the top (both front and back).

Then inserted about 20" of ribbon from front to back.  The chocolate is pushed down so the ribbon is around the chocolate from top to bottom. Tie a bow.  If you pull the bow the chocolate slides up.  So it's a mini chocolate slider!

It's tiny, the 3rd photo shows it next to a gift card for perspective.

No measuring, no scoring, easy peasy - I hope you try it - MaryKate

3 x 3 challenge It Starts with Art meets Crafting Forever

Our team challenge using 3 x 3 paper continues....

I love this card!  I cut the designer paper to 2 x 3 and layered with a piece just 1/8" larger and arranged them in a wonky fashion (channeling my inner Angel)!

I colored the ribbon to match (love white ribbon as you can color it to match anything!)

and I added on the glitter dot, the scissors and greeting from the set "Crafting Forever", which is not forever as this set is on the retiring list! Still available but only til supplies last.

Enjoy the challenge! MaryKate

3x3 treat bag and mini cards

Our 3 x 3 challenge continues (see posts on April 29 and 30 for details).

Here is a fun bag that holds treats or mini cards.

The Calypso Cardstock is cut 6 x 6, and scored at 1 1/2 on 3 sides, the final side is the top and is score at 3/4 (for the "cuff").

You create 2 half bags and insert the back inside the front.  On the front is the 3 x 3 designer paper square from our challenge.

Hear are a few 3 x 3 mini cards with envelopes.  I cut the designer square to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and the layer is 2 7/8 x 2 7/8. My greeting is on the inside.

These would look great in our mini pizza boxes.

All the supplies are in my online store, don't forget the host code to get your free goodies!

Enjoy the challenge, MaryKate
