Nailed it! Retired..let me know if you'd like to borrow it!

Hello Stampers and Crafters!!

This set Nailed It! is retired but I'm happy to lend you the stamps and the matching dies if you are local to Hartland, Pittsfield, Bangor area!

This one could be Father's Day but I like that it could come from a wife to a husband on Father's Day

How cute are these tools? Super easy to color in with our watercolor pencils.  The card above was made by Becky Roberts and I received as part of a swap!

Love this paper - also retired (I warned you to stock up when things retire :)
I have some left if you would like it!

And this one is so simple but really fun

If you'd like more ideas, type in the set name Nailed It in the search bar (top right) and you'll see other projects I made and at our class.

email me MaryKateScott@gmail.com if you'd like to borrow the set!

Happy Crafting! See you June 17 2pm for catalog launch in Hartland, please RSVP by email or a comment below!

Colorful Seasons - the Adirondack Chair

Nothing says summer to be like an Adirondack chair on my dock!

I loved this set so much I used it for my team swap.  A swap is where we all make 10 cards and then swap so we each have 10 different cards.  I like to make mine a little "Maine"...so in the past I used the lobster and the recently the lighthouse.

Here's the finished card.  I love this new designer paper.  It has a crinkle look on 1 side and ombre on the other and is in this Dapper Demin, Berry Burst, Old Olive and Crushed Curry.   Love the drink - such a tiny die. And I had to add some glitter dots (they come in the same colors: Berry, Denim, Curry and Olive).

I have a little tiny peek of the crushed curry showing.  The sun is from the most popular set of last year Swirly Bird (that surprised me it was the most popular - I loved it but it's not so common for a set with out sentiments to be #1).  I cut the sun from the ombre paper so each sun has a little shading.  The ocean swirl is from the same set and also from the ombre paper.

When I make a lot of swaps I do all but die cutting, cardstock cutting... and then go into assembly mode.  Although I like to make a full card first just in case I've made a mistake... I hate finding out after I cut 10 pieces that I'm out by 1/4"  Does that ever happen to you?!

And here they are ... all done... a great feeling!

We'll be playing with this set July 8 and making this card and 2-3 other projects. See the Events tab for details.

June 17 Catalog launch we'll be playing with the matching Memories and More cards and making a "tag" card with this Adirondack chair -- and other projects too - stay tuned!!

And you'll see all the other 9 cards from this swap!

At home... for all seasons

This is a very versatile set.  Love it.

I used it to make my Maine swaps with my Maine team.  I used the itty bows in the in-colors to decorate the doors.

Here's a close up... the door opens and you can stamp inside the door

I made this one for our summer neighbors as they move back in this weekend and I'm excited to see them!

And here's a video from Stampin up that shows you how you use these very easy dies... you simply cut the door with the big shot, run it through again for the door opening (tip.. since I did this... make sure you cut the opening so the door opens to the right :)

I used Shimmery white coloring cardstock, an aquapainter and new Fresh Fig for the door and Smokey Slate ink for the welcome mat.

This will be fun all year!

Team Color Challenge - check out all the creativity!

I'm part of such a great team!  Our weekly challenge always gives me so many great ideas and a few sleepless nights trying to think up my entry!!  Here's the challenge... make anything.. not just a card... from these colors (and only these colors!)

Here's mine: I'm in LOVE with the Colorful Season set!  At the moment I'm using all the beach chairs, sunshine, flower stamps but when fall comes... I'll be pulling out the leaves and in winter the snow. Love a versatile year round set!

And from April Lindow (our winner!)

Here's one from Sally Allen, how fun!

From Tamara Twitchell... great use of this lighthouse set!

Here's an entry from Susan Loughrey - inside this notebook she had 4 matching cards and stamps and she shared the pattern so we'll make this at class soon.

Lots of great ideas!

Don't forget, catalog launch is June 17 - that's when the free stuff is shared!!

New classes are now posted in the events tab!

Customer Thank you Boxes!

All customers who shop with me and use the host code get a surprise box!  It's usually full of paper with the matching ribbons, sometimes matching embellishments...

Last month (I was a bit behind!oops!) my customers loved the box of Cool Treats paper with the Watermelon ribbon.

20 sheets of 6 x 6 paper, 2 yards of ribbon!

I used the new Label me Pretty with the matching punch and stamp "you're the best"!  They are the best!!

If you'd like a surprise box, feel free to shop with me and use the host code (you can find it top right hand side of the website!)

In-Color Class Saturday June 3 with Fresh Florals

Today the new catalog launches!  2pm EDT we can order!

It's fun to get new colors!  Each year Stampin Up gives us 5 new in-colors that stay around for 2 years.  This year it's Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst (wouldn't you love to be on the naming committee!)

So for our class this Saturday, you'll choose 1 of these designer sheets in the in-colors (2 patterns in each color, so a lot of choice) and we'll each make a medium gift bag and 2 or 3 cards.

I've chosen Fresh Fig below (the color is a deep maroon).

You'll cut off 8 1/4 x 12 for the bag, score on the long side at 4 1/4, 5 3/4, 10, 11 1/2 and the short side a 1 and 7 - the 7 is the bottom (think directional patterns!).  Fold on the score lines, making sure the top "cuff" goes over the bag.  Trim off one corner (1/2 x 1 on the lower right), trim tabs and fold into a bag.

Now card choices... I've decided to use my piece of 3 3/4 x 12 for 3 cards.  A gate fold card (so 2 pieces cut 1 7/8 x 5 1/4) a "pattern block" card where I take a piece 3 3/4 x 3 and cut it into 1" strips, and finally there's a piece with a whole "flower arrangement", so I cut that out and put it on the front of the card with a 1/2 strip of matching fig paper.

Did you see the Thank you cards from yesterday?  This is the same idea but I'm not sure if I'll make a thank you or a sympathy or what.  There was a tiny strip left so I decorated the front of the notecard envelope.

To the left is Tranquil Tide, I wanted cards that featured the paper, so I cut my 3 3/4 x 12 into 1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (2 of these) for the gate fold; and a piece 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 for the Happy Birthday card.

A large "lots of label" and some stamping with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set and done!

The other "label" with the gate fold is from the new "Label me Pretty set".

I love the matching ribbon that goes with this paper!

If you'd like to join us just let me know!
