I have 2 fun projects for you today - both are easy but have a wow factor! You can make both from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 patterned paper. I chose to use 2 different patterns. Click here for the video to quickly put these 2 projects together.
The Handbag (which easily holds 4-6 cards and envelopes), perfect for Easter, May Day or Mother's Day
You’ll need 4 brads and if you wish some twine and or decoration for the bag.
DSP Cutting instructions. Start with a 12 x 12 sheet
TTrim 2 pieces 12 x 1 – so
you are left with a piece 10 x 12 – cut this to 10 x 8. Set aside the 4 x 10
and use this for cards.
2Score the handbag on the
long 10” side at 4 and 6”
3Cut into these score lines
1 ¾ (all 4), now fold these 2” pieces onto the bottom of the bag and adhere
down.
4Add tear n tape to the 2
side edges.
5Fold the side edges to form
a bag.
6Create the 2 handles from
the 12 x 1 by folding in half (but only in the middle of the handles)
7Round the corners of the
bottom of the handles
8Punch a hole at the bottom
of 4 handles and holes to match on the bag.
9Use the brads to secure the
handles
1Add a bow and or a tassel if you wish
Front DSP: 3 ¼ x 4 ½
