Merry Moose Gift Card Holder - DIY gift card holder in 5 min

Here's a quick fun gift card holder.   You can make 2 from a single sheet of cardstock.  I'll be on Facebook at 6pm tonight showing you how to make this. Come and craft with me!

Click here to see a quick how-to video!

Here it is open with the gift card "popping up"

You can see the hole that I created to hold the gift card

Your paper is 4 ¼ wide by 9 ¾ long, scored at 1 ¾, 4 ¾, 5 ¾, 6 ¾.   I used Cinnamon Cider and Brightly Gleaming patterned paper cut 3 x 6 1/2 (if you only have 6 x 6 paper, just add a bit and make it longer (the join won't show).

Fold on the score lines and then with your trimmer cut out ¼ x 3 ¾ to make a hole. Or use your classic label punch, punch twice along the inside edge so you have a place for your gift card holder.  Below the hole, secure with tear n tape or liquid glue.  I'll post a video on this in a  few hours (you can come back and check here for the video or go to Facebook.com/SipCraftCare)

Your holder is done!  Add paper inside (I used Very Vanilla) 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 and I stamped on one and left the other blank for a signature.

For the belly band, fold it (don't score), secure it on the reverse. Now decorate it! I used a 2 1/4 circle of copper to match the paper and stamped and punched a moose.  The circle is attached with dimensionals.

So easy and fast.  Here's a different look in plaid with the Christmas tree punch.

I love adding foil to holiday gifts - gold, copper as I did here - or really any foil!

I hope you make one! Or make 2 - you get 2 from 1 sheet of cardstock.

It's "gift card holder" week so come back tomorrow for more ideas!!

Happy wrapping, happy holidays, MaryKate
