May Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin Video

Wow the March Paper Pumpkin just arrived and it's really pretty.  We expected something special for the 5th anniversary and I think we got it! I hope there are refill kits.

Fruit Basket ideas including the Tutti Frutti paper

We had a great time on Saturday! 

Everyone got the stamp set Fruit Basket and we saw a ton of fun and creativity.  Here's the first fruit card.  Yes it's a copy from the Sale-A-Bration catalog - a great source of inspiration!

Inside the card is a cute pop up to hold a gift card, 2 sheets 5 x 5 and scored at 1 ½, 2 ¼, 3 ¾ and 4 ½ .  Fold on the score lines.   Adhere on the 4½ score line so it’s a “box” with open ends.   Adhere these 2 boxes together at the ends so you can insert a gift card.  Then adhere to the inside of the card ensuring the box edge is flush with the fold of the card. 

So I thought I'd post a whole bunch more ideas for you to use with your new stamp set.

This card was inspired by Angie Juda (who I met at OnStage last year!)

And inside is a shopping bag for a gift card.

I love the paper which is very fresh and so cute.


Here's a 1 minute fun video from Stampin Up to make a mini card. This would be great with the navy gingham ribbon (maybe add a blueberry jam as a gift!).

And here are a few other projects - first some treats.  I love these 3 x 6 cello bags and the sayings... we make a great pear! love it!  Do you love the lemon-lime twist ribbon... it will retire and my bet is that it will be the first item to sell out.

A few more cards... these just showcase the fabulous paper!  So fun to decorate the envelopes too.

The fruit slice punch makes a great "hole" for tags.  And if you don't need a tag.. turn it into a card.  the fruit slice paper is peach on the back and I love it as the background.

The pineapple paper was a huge favorite - and it's so cute.  The fruit in this bowl was a cut out from the raspberry paper.

It's a Myths & Magic Mermaid Party!

It’s a Mermaid party from the Myths and Magic set!  I created several mermaid projects and used my Blends for coloring and some markers as well.

This gift card holder is super quick and easy. 

Bermuda Bay is 4 ¼ wide by 9 ¾ long, scored at 1 ¾, 4 ¾, 5 ¾, 6 ¾.   I stamped some bubbles on the front – can you see them – they are in Bermuda Bay ink so tone-on-tone.

Fold on the score lines and then with your classic label punch, punch twice along the inside edge so you have a place for your gift card holder.  Below the punches, secure with tear n tape or liquid glue. 

Stamp Hope your Day is Magical in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White 4 x 2 3/4.

Make the Belly Band – I used the FREE Sale-A-Bration paper 2 ½ x 6 ¼, wrap it around the holder (not too tight).  I punched a 2 ¼ circle in silver, a starburst punch in Fresh Fig and then stamped and colored in my mermaid. 

The note card 7x5 folded comes pre-cut and pre-scored, 20 to a pack. I think these are great for invitations or thank you notes.

After stamping and coloring my mermaid, I stamped the banner and cut that with the matching dies.  I cut another banner shaper in the glimmer paper (now a Free item with Sale-A-Bration) cut this in half long ways and adhered the stamped banner to the 2 pieces of glimmer. 

The big card is 8 ½ x 5 ½ in Indigo Blue folded and uses lemon lime, and Bermuda Bay. The lemon-lime layer is 5 1/4 x 4.

The little treat bag uses some paper from the Eclectic series and a 3 x 6 cello bag, and the matching lemon lime ribbon and matching Berry Burst clip.

Fun to create these for a little girl’s party!!

New SAB items and Prizes for Big Event!

Not so many posts from me right now as I'm creating all the baskets, prizes and kits for our Big Event on Saturday March 17.  It's an all day event and we are crafting with the Fruit Basket set, the Amazing You from Sale-A-Bration, and the stunning Sweet Soiree designer paper.  

Here are a few of the prizes. Everyone will get matching cardstock and ribbon (or twine or ink).  I love that Stampin Up matches the cardstock with the ink, the ribbon, the embellishments, projects are easy and look professional.

Paper Pumpkin - sold out for March but 50% off April & May

Hi all... the March Paper Pumpkin is a special box for the 5th anniversary.  Lots of promotions on this and now it's sold out!!  

But great news is that April and May is 50% off for new subscribers.  This starts March 11th and I think it's a fun way to try out Paper Pumpkin, if you're interested in seeing what it is all about.

In a nutshell:  on the 10th of the month the box is shipped and you get stamps and all supplies to make projects.  Often it is 8 cards or 6 cards and 4 three-dimensional projects. I like collecting the stamps, they are seasonal and pretty cute.  

  

I like getting the box every month.  Most of the time I make it up just the way the instructions suggest and some months I get creative and post ideas!

Tutti Frutti Wrap for a Mini Ghiradeli Chocolate

Super quick and easy!  3 x 3 of Fruit paper.

Grab your envelope punchboard, and line up your first side at 1 1/2, punch, score.  Do same on all 4 slides.  Corner round 1 end of the paper.

Fold into a envelope, wrapping it around the chocolate, secure with glue dots. 

Take 8" of the lemon lime twist ribbon and secure with white twine about 8".  

Stamp a strawberry, punch it out, stamp a yay! and then punch out with the 1 1/8" scallop punch.

Sweet Soiree Easter Egg Holder – Tombow Glue Holder!!

My thinking was to make a cute Easter Egg holder… but as I was making it I kept propping my glue up inside the holder!!

It works great for both purposes

– but I think for other holders I might use different ribbon!

The long piece is 2 x 11, scored at 1 ½, 3, 4 1/2 , 6

The short cardstock pieces is 2 x 4 ½ scored at ¾, 1½ 3, 3 ¾

So fold on all the score lines.  The small piece will fold up and you’ll punch a 1 1/8 hole in the middle top. (I used the new punch in the Occasions catalog)

You will then fold the longer piece so it looks like a throne.  Punch a hole also 1 1/8 in the top. 

Now glue in the bottom part of the throne inside the big piece.  And then adhere the longer piece around it.

Decorate with designer paper, I used Sweet Soiree and I add the 6” piece of the powder pink ribbon tied with white twine.  Super quick and easy. Hope you try it out!
