Darling Details Class 2

 This is our second class for Darling Details! I love this gorgeous bundle - truly the details make it fabulous.

This class is Aug 8 6-730pm ET online.

Each class is $10, 3 classes $30 (plus shipping if needed). We meet most / nearly all Tuesdays online 6-730pm ET and we have such a fun group.  You'll get great conversation and lots of ideas as each of us "make it our own".  You can join live by Zoom or live by Facebook or watch the replay.

IDEAS Blog Hop August 2023 Fun Fold Cards

Hello and welcome to the IDEAS Blog Hop for August 2023 - featuring cards with fun folds.

We have a range of projects from easy and fun for new stampers or more detailed designs for an avid crafter.  Each tutorial includes 1-2 projects.

This month we have curated tutorials from 15 international Demonstrators with a 75 page full color tutorial bundle for you, featuring colorful cards.  You will get 1t detailed tutorials with a range of projects.  The tutorials have detailed instructions in imperial (aka inches!) and metric.

Here is our sneak peek collage for the August IDEAS Tutorial Bundle.  Each photo represents one designer's tutorial in our bundle.

I used the fun Bright & Beautiful designer paper along with the Darling Details bundle and made a fun fold card and a fun fold box.

All the details, how-to, dimensions and tips are in my tutorial. Lots of photos and diagrams to make it easy to follow along.    A super fun suite of projects!

Creating a Faux Stepper Card

My talented teammate Terry Dell'Amico sent me a stunning faux stepper card.  Her's is the one with the pretty flower.  I recreated it with the Sleigh paper and cute Trucking Along set with the punch (both Online Exclusives).

Recipe

The bottom piece is 9 x 4 1/4, score this at 1 1/4, 2 1/2 and 5 3/4

The patterned paper for the bottom is a 4 x 4 cut at 4 x 3 and 4 x 1 (smaller piece on the lower front)

The top piece is 2 1/2 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

The patterned paper for the top is 2 1/4 x 5 1/4

I stamped the road below the truck (otherwise it looks like it floats!) 

I stamped the truck in Pecan Pie (stamping off for a lighter look) the tree is Lost Lagoon.  

It's really easy but has a wow effect.

White card stock to die cut flowers and for stamping (about ¼ page)

Crumb cake for the greeting 2 ¼ x 7/8 (I used the die)

Bubble Bath ribbon 10-12”

Circle Sayings Class 2 July 18 Projec 3

 July 18 Online Class - I have 3 featured cards for you! This is project #3 and it is a quick and easy one with a masking technique. Your packet includes a daisy card and a fish card. This is a great layout and super flexible. 

1. Ingredients

Base 8 ½ x 5 ½

Designer Series Paper 3 x 5

Cardstock 3 1/8 x 5 1/8

Circle – solid circle – punch from the cardstock (the hole will be hidden with DSP)

White Circle 2 ¼

If you wish add ribbon or embellishments

Each Tuesday 6-730pm I host an online class by zoom. It's also broadcast on a private FB page so you can watch or rewatch any time.

Project 2 July 18 Circle Sayings Cupcakes

July 18 Online Class - I have 3 featured cards for you! This is project #2 and the only one that doesn't use the new circle punch. I love the cute cupcakes in this set.

I made a slimline card, and created cute cupcake holders from our designer paper.

Ingredients

 

Base 7 x 8 ½ folded in half

White Front layer 3 x 8

Stamp 5 cupcakes, stamp a greeting on the front layer

Stamp just the cupcake holders on DSP, hand cut these holders, add to the front with dimesionals.

Color in the icing.

If you wish, lightly brush on light blue (pool party) ink around the cupcakes with a blending brush.

Add embellishments
