Timeless Tulip Birthday Card

All this week I'll post Easy Fun-Fold Cards.  I have a tutorial for you (free to my team or customers or email me MaryKate@MaryKateScott.com to purchase for $15)

All 5 cards will be made using the Pleased As Punch designer paper - which is only available til March 31st!

The Tulip Card

Designer Paper – 5” X 3 3/4
Granny Apple Green base is 4 ¼” X 5 ½”, side flap is 2” X 4 ¾” scored at 4 ¼”
White front and inside are 4” X 3”
Gorgeous Grape 4 ¼” X 3 ¼” for the front

Adhere the Green flap to the inside of the large Granny Apple Green card base. Next add the designer paper.  Stamp on 1 white piece with any greeting

Make the front.  Stamp on the front lower right front
Punch or fussy cut 2 tulips from your designer paper, Punch 1 leaf

Cut four tulip stems from the green designer paper (other side of the tulips). I used a plate and drew an arc, and cut it about ¼” wide.

Adhere the stems to the White card front. Add tulips with dimensionals and a leaf.
Add embellishments and a knot of ribbon (I used the white tulle) with a mini glue dot if desired.

I hope you make one!  Happy Stamping MaryKate

Silver Elite Dinner and Recognition

I just received photos from our recognition dinner in January.  Here we are at the event!

It's really special to see these leaders each year and I love our connection.

It's a Brazilian steakhouse with a huge salad bar!

I'm here with Suzie (our fearless leader)

And our gifts - the handbags for the ladies and the Bonanza Buddy Paper bag holds a speaker for our guys (who really help us out a lot).

Thank you all so much for your amazing support to help me get to our event!!

A refill on the Paper Pumpkin March 2020 with Whatever the Weather

And a quick video so you can see how it makes up!

A full kit of the Paper Pumpkin February 2020 - full size cards.  Perfect for experienced crafters to add their own ideas, super for beginners with a versatile easy to use stamp set and everything included (ink, stamp set, supplies)

We have other kits (see the back of the catalog) or search online (you can click on the cart to your right to do so) for "kits".

I have created a fun tutorial with 5 easy-fun-folds using the

wow Pleased as Punch Paper. I thinking of creating a kit - all the paper and shapes ready to use - with the option of a stamp set if you don't have a great sentiment set (many many of you have many many great sets!). Stay tuned on this option. I'll be publishing the how-to (dimensions, tips etc) all week this week on this blog.  Don't forget, the punch paper is limited release and goes away March 31 :(

Also I've been creating lots of fun extra projects with my March 2020 kit and will post.  Sorry to be out of touch, travels, work, these crazy days, and some Mom-care.  All good here.  Please stay safe and well.

Stay tuned for Easy-Fun-Fold Punch cards all this week!

Marmalade Packaging

My mom made 24 jars of English Marmalade for our upcoming fund raiser at our Community Center.

It is different to jam.  Marmalade, is made from citrus fruits, and is made by boiling the juice of the fruit along with the peel in sugar and water.  So it's much thicker than jam, and it's much less sweet (less sugar) more of a tart taste.

Anyway... I thought her jars needed some fun packaging.  So here's what I made.  What do you think? I printed the English Marmalade label on my printer, punched with a 2" punch and added starburst punch to the back.

I used the Botanical prints paper from this great product medley.  The medley includes stamps, dies, paper and these colors are stunning: pretty peacock, terracotta tile, crushed curry and I added garden green. You get a lot of fun product.

Details, how-to and dimensions:

I created the box 5 1/4 x 12, scored at 2 7/8, 5 3/4, 8 5/8, 11 1/2 and on the short side at 2 1/2, I cut the tab of the piece scores at 1/2 x 2 1/2. Cut the tabs. Before you put the box together, use the Label me Lovely and punch the front of the box.  Make the box up.

Make the lid 4 15/16 x 4 15/16, score 1" on all sides, and before you make it up, line the lid front with the label "hole" on the box and line it up.  So cute.  I am going to add in window sheets but thought I'd post it now.

I'll post a photo of our fundraising projects, we made handbags, card kits, stamped on tile for coaster, honey jars (of course in a box), and these marmalade jars!

happy fund raising, happy communities all, MaryKate
